I received a request from a customer stating they have received what appears to be a scam text from someone claiming they owe vodafone money.


The text contained a link to


That link is just to a login page. No details about the company.


Can someone advise. I forwarded the link to netsafe and advised the customer to delete the text and contact vodafone.


Surely Vodafone don't send out information in that format. 


But Vodafone do have a substantial privacy waiver clauses in their terms and conditions.

Get them to call Vodafone. This is an actual debt collection company.

I wonder if there is a scam going around. A friend of mine received a automated phone call about a supposed debt to Vodafone that they thought was a scam. They believe there Vodafone account is paid up. A call to Vodafone call centre was no help

Strangely, Netsafe came back to me and deemed it to be a scam


If the company is legit then they are sending texts on behalf of Vodafone that are not consistent with safe business practises.


I will contact Vodafone also.
