A friend of mine has a grandfathered cable plan and now has fibre available in the area (Lower Hutt).

Can anyone recommend a fibre plan based on price and reliability. He is happy to go with VF if they will allow him to change to real fibre but he might as well know of other possibilities.

Thanks all.

Kirk.

Voyager

$69 / month unlimited, public IP address, good reputation for reliability. That's 30/10 or 50/10 in a Chorus area. Should hit the mark for both price and reliability. You don't mention if throughput is a factor for consideration, but obviously faster more spendy plans available too.

Oh yes sorry. Lots of ps4 gaming on at least 2 consoles plus usage from other devices. Currently has > 100 Mb download. Probably doesn’t need much more than that.

I'm liking 2degrees' offering now they've simplified the pricing to $85 https://www.2degreesmobile.co.nz/broadband

Spark can be a good option for a higher cost, I'm sure Voyager are good too
