Does anyone have some advice for me?
My 80yr old mother in law contacted me asking how to stop a contract prior to installation which is happening about the 9th
She had a door to door salesman convince her to buy a sky package deal with fibre (I think within the last 2 weeks)

She has an existing sky package and does not require internet (however was convinced by another family member)

 

The problem lays in the fact that she currently has a sky recorder (and sky contract) and does not wish to change to the lesser function vodafone box.
She is not tech savy and does not adapt to change well.
As a result, she is quite distraught.

If nothing has been connected/installed, then should be able to cancel it by calling V/fone.

Call vodafone, and just your elderly mother was pressured into buying something she does not want or need. 

 

You might have to have your mother there with you, as they will probably only wish to talk to the account holder. 

 

Alternatively, can you give the CEO Russell stanners a call or email? If you can find details... really, door to door salespeople should not be pressuring 80 year olds.

There is a cool down period of 5 working days which allows you to cancel the contract

Thanks for the info, Ive since checked in with her and the contract is within the 5 day period.

 

Ive called the help desk on her behalf and I think the cancellation process is started, unfortunately the contract from the rep hasnt been loaded yet.
Otherwise all appears to be sorted thanks.
