Hey there

I am new to VOIP and i am trying to setup my VFX trunkline through my Trixbox (running on VMware) on my Laptop to use with Xlite. Now I have also connected my Nokia Phone as an extension. I have followed Tony's setup for Dummies(me in this case). and currently i am able to call from my softphone to my cellphone via the Trixbox PBXfree but my trunk it self is not registering to the VFX server.

In the asterisk info in sip Peers it shows the following:

Host                              Username          Refresh   State                Reg.Time
as.wxcnz.net:5060 995XXXXX 120 Auth. Sent

Also my Trunk Details are as follows:

General Settings

Outbound Caller ID:          995XXXXX(My Number)
Never Override Caller ID:   Checked

Outgoing Dial Rules

Empty

Outgoing Settings

Trunk Name:      VFX

Peer Details:

dtmfmode=rfc2833

fromdomain=as.wxcnz.net

fromuser=995XXXXX

host=as.wxcnz.net

insecure=invite,port

nat=yes

secret=XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

type=peer

context=from-trunk

username=XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Incoming Settings

User Context:  XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
User Details:

empty

Registration

Register String:
995XXXXX:XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX:XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX@as.wxcnz.net/995XXXXX

In the Trunk details my username is 18 chars and my secret is 20 chars long

If someone could help me with this it would be great.

Thanks

Gaurav Bradoo

Move the text around so the disallow= line is before the allow=line

Also be wary of using ulaw or alaw over ADSL, both use a lot of bandwidth and very little error correction for jitter. There is also every chance you will suffer significant issues running trixbox in a VM machine - some people get lucky but for most people it will cause issues in one way or another due to the timing requirements.
