My customer is getting 50M download and 7M upload speeds (wired to Draytek 2860 router) with a Vodafone UFB service which is billed as "Unlimited Ultra Fast 30".

But I can't find online what this service is supposed to deliver speed-wise .. is this normal?

taken from sparks website (i know customer is on vodafone)

Ultra Fibre®BASIC runs on the Ultra Fast Broadband network, using what's called a 30Mbps standard network profile, or a 50MBps standard network profile depending on your Local Fibre Company. Addresses in Whangarei, Hamilton, Whanganui, New Plymouth, Tokoroa, Hawera, Cambridge, Te Awamutu, Tauranga and Christchurch will have a Fibre service with the ability to deliver speeds up to 30mbps downstream and 10mbps upstream. The rest of NZ will have a service able to deliver up to 50Mbps downstream and 10Mbps upstream.

Assuming they're on a Chorus UFB connection all 30Mbps plans were upgraded to 50Mbps by Chorus last year.

Yes it is Chorus.

Presumably the next step up is a 100/30 plan if they need faster upload?

really depends on provider most are offering the 100/20 template, some have the 200/200 on offer to customer and the 100/50.
