Tonight at about 8:00 I lost internet connectivity.  ADSL was up, but PPP took about 5 or 10 minutes before it would connect.  I'm on the Pakuranga exchange.  Does anyone know what happened?  (Not worried, just curious.)  When it finally connected, I went to the XNet home page and also noticed the network status banner took a while to initialise.  Did their server crash?  Or are we getting some snazzy new features which required a reboot?

See my last post - same here but with ihug on HCK.

I saw a few flickers in the lights before failure, so it could be some kind of surge or even lightning with the weather here.

Find me on Twitter!

Yup my net went down as well.
2 other mates of mine went down as well.
Were all on Xtra but different exchanges.
Their on the Blockhouse bay exchange and I'm on the Ponsonby exchange.

Thanks for that, my energy saving lamps do not flicker even when my old heat pump kicks in and draws a 30A in-rush current.
