Does it still rely on identifiers handed out by your telco to identify who you are? Which are not easily movable between devices without moving a little plastic trinket that the telco sells you to access their data network? Can you still not recieve them on multiple devices?

If it still has all the limitations of SMS, then not interested. At least imessage can be used on any device you log in with, and the identifier is your icloud not a "phone number" assigned to you by the place you buy data from.

I don’t know if I’ve got the resilience for another round of hating but here goes...

This is the answer I got from VF when I messaged their Facebook page:

”Hi Martin, this is something we previously offered, however our current RCS offering has been retired, and we're working on new and improved RCS solutions, starting with Vodafone One Business Mobile - https://www.vodafone.co.nz/vodafone-one-business-mobile/ ^Sam”

@turb One business is not related to RCS in anyway but as already advised Vodafone is not going to offer any RCS solution in the near future so I have no idea why you are asking them!

If a product is not covered on the main VodafoneNZ site then it's not for public information and would be covered by a NDA even if they are working on a RCS solution

So until an official announcement is made you are 110% wasting your time and VodafoneNZ time

I’m sorry for making you so angry. I sincerely apologise for asking Vodafone if RCS was enabled on their network.
I also apologise on behalf of “Sam” who is evidently some kind of fantasist.

@turb No one is angry here and no idea why you think anyone is, Why is it when an honest and direct answer is given people automatically think someone is angry

I worked for VodafoneNZ for 17+ years I know how things tick I also worked on many C4 projects that were not allowed to be spoken about outside of the project team not even other Vodafone staff

Sam in the social media will not have a clue about projects in scope let alone RCS, Further to this Sam is a nice guy I actually bumped into him yesterday in Takapuna having lunch (Bird on a wire) looked very yummy
