Hey guys, I'm after some opinions here about the above two plans.
I'm thinking about switching to Slingshot FS/FS from Xnet FS/128k, and I'm after some opinions on which way my speeds will go, down or up (down rate wise)
I notice that on GamePlanet I max my download and upload while downloading a trailer or demo, which leads me to hope that I can get greater down rates on a higher upload speed, and I must admit Slingshots unlimited offpeak data sounds quite appealing
edit again: forgot to mention i'm currently on xnet and get about 500Kb/s-550KB/s from GamePlanet
Cheers

Not too sure how Slingshot compares, but having free data to Gameplanet is certainly an attractive feature for Xnet.

You are right on the speed increase to GamePlanet, here's a screenshot of what i just got on the Flood plan.

The thing here is that because of your current upstream speed 128K, you download speeds will not increase above approx 4Meg as the issue is actually the upstream cap, Data has to pass bothways when downloading and the cap at 128 caps the download because of the connection overheads i.e you need more than 128 to get faster download, a FS / FS plan from ANY provider will increase your download speed. Your download speed with us would generally increase if you were on a FS / FS plan.

Hell Yeah, Maverick speaks the truth. I joined Xnet's torrent plan and I get 12mb's download!! never got anything near that with the other providers.
