Hey all,

Trying to solve some issues I have been having with connecting to Amazon based servers. I currently have an RBI connection via Netspeed, they are part of the RBI wholesale thing.

When the issue occurs I normally have a good-ish connection via 3G to Vodafone's Auckland speedtest server. Around 8-12Mb/s most of the time. That tells me that it's probably something outside of Vodafone.

The issue is this, any Amazon services are extremely slow. I'm talking less than 3Mb/s most of the time. During peak times, generally from 6pm to 10-11pm it's even less, sometimes I am unable to watch Twitch streams at 360p and those are around 300-500Kbps.

I have also tried a VPN to Auckland (Vocus datacenter I believe) with very similar results.

Any suggestions and or pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Higher latency over 3G could also have and effect.

Chorus has spent $1.4 billion on making their xDSL broadband network faster. If your still stuck on ADSL or VDSL, why not spend from $150 on a master filter install to make sure you are getting the most out of your connection?

Sorry, I forgot some things for my first post. I am currently using Cloudflare DNS, however, the issue is the same with Google and Netspeed.

I am on 3g because I have an "enhanced" connection. It's just a higher data cap but limited to 3g. I can receive 4g but my sim will not register on it unless I downgrade my plan to a lower data cap.

When I was on 4g I believe I had the same issue. I can't remember, it's been at least 6 months since I had 4g.
