Thanks, I'll hold my breath and report back.

I agree today's companies leave a lot to be desired when it comes to customer service. Thing this, that also affects their bottom line (which seems to be all that counts), so it doesn't really make sense. Those of us with long memories who remember good old-fashioned customer service can only look back with fond memories. Sigh...

Email received confirming conversation and contract, which is appreciated. (Though, still, no written contract emailed to customer, seems to be verbal only nowadays, so same questions remain as above.) We really didn't need the extra stress, but fingers crossed!

I had to laugh a while ago when I saw Mr Stanners saying his goal was for Vodafone to be the number one provider. Nice idea, but...

Usually they read the basis of the contract to you and you verbally agree or disagree. I have never seen a written contract.

a verbal contract will be near unenforceable by either party, as details of the terms agreed on would be impossible to prove
So why even have a verbal contract.
The Terms & Conditions will be written down somewhere , its pretty damn slack if Voda cant tell the cust where to find them or send them out.

The offer and your acceptance is recorded.

Contractor arrived promptly and installed a new wireless router. Not modem as told originally, but no matter, all seems to be working fine.

Only thing is he was given our old landline number so was unable to get in touch today he was coming. Despite Vodafone, as the provider, knowing we no longer have one -- for some time -- and use cell phones only. It appears info was not passed on or updated.
