Just switched to Vodafone UFB from Bigpipe, had my router connected to LAN port 1 on the ONT. Wasn't getting anything for 10 mins after it was meant to be live, so tried both a router and ONT restart but still nothing. Didn't know what else to try so plugged the cable into LAN 2 instead, just to see if there was any difference. Then boom, internet light on the router goes solid green and I'm getting connection on my computer again. Is this normal for Vodafone to do? Should I be worried I have two connections live at the moment or anything? I can't seem to get anything through LAN 1 still though.

I know enable will provision Lan port 2 to the new provider if there is an active connection on Lan one.

As above, most other LFC's other than chorus just provision up another port.

Chorus have rules around what plans you can order on a second port etc so with them often you need to wait.

I can confirm that if you are transferring from another RSP, the LFC can sometimes provision Port 2 to get the customer up and running asap. I see this a lot on Enable and UFF but only a handful of times on Chorus. If you have any doubts feel free to contact us and get one of our tech team members to have a quick look and double check for you. I would also remind you to follow up with the previous RSP to confirm they have relinquished the line fully so no nasty billing surprises for yourself :)

Cheers for the responses! It's chorus so looks like it is especially strange. I guess I should start with Bigpipe, I was disconnected early (around 4:00pm yesterday). Strange all around
