Hope @JasonParis can answer this one. I received an automated call today from Vodafone asking me to partake in a survey to make sure everything is okay. I confirmed my identity and held. I was then put on hold for a further few minutes until someone answered.

After a few minutes a woman answered and asked how she could help? I advised her Vodafone had called me to do a survey which she knew nothing about. Then she commented it might have been about my account but nothing was overdue. I told her the voice prompt had definately advised a survey would be done. Very odd indeed. Firstly I have never had a call asking me to take part in a survey and secondly, would have been good if the CSR knew what I was calling about. Felt a bit like a muppet when the CSR kept asking how she could help.

Hey Mary,

Sounds strange indeed, yet certainly can try and get to the bottom of this and find out the source of the call and what it was all about. Can I get you to email onlinecare@vodafone.com and just have "Attn: Ahmed - Geekzone" in the subject line, and will get this picked up and investigated for you. If you can provide us with the number you were called on, and the number that called you as well please.

Kind Regards

Ahmed

Ever considered it may be a trap?

Confirmed identity how may determine. If it was 'enter your 4 digit pin' then I'd start worrying. Got your number, and your access code.

I'd be cautious of it being a phishing call if not from one of their official numbers (not that thats legit now anyways) logging any old thing you put in and handing off to a real VF number to mask itself

confirmed my mobile number. It was the IVR voice, so know it wasn't pshishing. I didn't enter my pin anywhere but confirmed it when I spoke to the CSR
