Hi, is there any update to the devices that will work using Local Zone?
A friend of mine today called the VF contact centre asking about the N70 but they couldn't give him a confirmed answer (considering the phone is 3g), also the same answer regarding the iPhone

Thanks

Hihi

As long as your phone is a 3G and your phone is supporting a 256k simcard (which they will test with you when you are in store) then you will be able to use the Vodafone Local Zone system

I have a parallel import Sony Ericsson W660i and it is working fine with no problem!

good luck

Jacky

Nokia 6500 classic is 3G and will not work with local zone.

Please check vodafone.co.nz for supported devices.

MOST 3G phones support this new service, many more than are on that Vodafone list. I'm not sure why some models don't work though so it's safer to stick to the list.

Hi John,

Do you know why it doesn't work? I see that the 6234 is supported and they are both Nokia 6xxx series running Symbian S40. Do you know if it had a specific problem, e.g. failed to register, SIM applet fault, couldn't display idle text indicator etc...

Cheers
