AFAIR I think already mentioned on Geekzone, RBI2 required VoLTE so the other carriers will have it running very shortly too.

@pchs Correct in the next week or two

Next week or 2 hmmm does that mean testing it locked down or fully rolled out nationwide?

Have Spark even launched VoLTE in June as they were required to do?

Why are they required to do this?

(Off Topic)  will 3G networks eventually also be shutdown just like what's happening with 2G networks?

Many new RBI2 sites with a shared RAN (shared between 2d, Spark and VF) will be 4G only so VoLTE is required for voice rather than falling back to circuit switched 3G.

At some point 3G networks will be shut down, but we're a long way from that.

Once all 3 carriers have this going will we likely see HD Voice calls between all the carriers?

One would hope so providing your handset supports it and I suspect that only the most recent / expensive  models will.

HD Voice is an older tech Voice over LTE is better.

Fyi iPhone 6 and up support Voice over LTE. I got the carrier update after Vodafone rolled it out but it looks like I will have to make a special trip over to the Shore just to try it out.
