As I'm sure you've all seen, there are ads for TelstraClear broadband all around the place in Wellington, with their new "Best ___" advertising campaign. One of the claims is "Best speed broadband". I find it misleading at best, since the 25Mbit cable plan (still!) isn't available in Wellington. One could argue they are referring to ADSL2+, but it's still misleading, as they're not the only ones offering it. However, in some versions of the advertisement, the "Best speed" specifically refers to their cable network (see http://www.geekzone.co.nz/manhinli/5508 - hover over "Best speed"), but I don't know if this version is distributed in Wellington - can anyone confirm? If it is, then is this not a blatant act of false advertising, or am I missing something?

I find their advertising campaign a bit cheeky, considering how long we have had major issues.
Maybe they did lose a lot of customers during this period and are trying to woo them back, now that it is operating better?
