Every catch up show I watch always seems to be running over time, and will just stop playing. So I select the next show, and start that from the beginning, but there is still always missing footage. Is this normal? I thought if I was watching a catch up show it would just roll into the next show.

Yes... Also every time I play catchup it seems to start late.

I find when using a pvr to record something on tv/1/2/3/prime etc a start of -3 minutes and adding +5 on end when recording from an epg is %99.99 perfect.

My PVR adds this by default to anything recorded  via the epg

I haven’t had any problems with the 3 day catch up, though only used it couple programs TV1.
It usually starts 2 minutes earlier then the program start time, so I fast forward it that couple of minutes, and when program finish’s it runs around 15 minutes into next programme before stopping.

So program would need to be running about 15 min late for it to miss anything.

I only used it recently on the chase and home improvement.

Home improvement a 4:3 ratio program had white moving dots at top of screen.
They went away when wide screen adds came on.

No update at this stage, except that I can confirm that we are actively working with iHeart/NZME and our vendors to resolve this issue. Will post here once we have updates.

We are getting "Channel not subscribed" when my wife tries to play back Masterchef from yesterday when pressing "Watch on catchup". repeated attempts just give us a blank screen.

In the blank screen if I press left, I get an empty screen with the name of the program and 0 hrs 0 min etc on a progress bar. It just doesn't load the program.

Even trying to load a program that has just finished results in a blank screen.

Our system is getting worse and worse.

How do we get some help on this?

edit: Update. After 15 minutes we finally got it working. Its now running like it should. But this non loading of programs is getting too much.

I got an application not subscribed message last night when trying to load YouTube.

I also had the box freeze completely and become unresponsive until a hard on/off.

The only problem i am having is a fast forward the picture stays still to i stop the fast forward and sometimes i miss some of my program to i rewind back a little.

We are working on providing visual fast forward/fast rewind, or "scrubber" as we call it. This feature is currently in testing and should not be too far away!

Pity I didn't know about not being able to add a second VTV to my account. When I tried is said coming soon.

I had to activate my second VTV under my wife's email\phone

Question once we do have the ability to add other devices and use multi room for sky, can I move the new VTV to my account? Also when will this be available?

I have discussed this with @sansom and we can reveal that the current launch date for multi-room (support multiple boxes on one account) is 25 November. (Noting that this the target date and could shift a little bit.)

This is a known issue that will be fixed in next release. Clicking on OK a second time should launch YouTube.

Noted. Next release that is coming soon will contain further stability fixes.

VodafoneTV is now supported  by Logitech Harmony Universal Remotes

Many of our customers have asked for VodadoneTV support for Logitech Harmony universal remotes. We have been working with Logitech and support is now officially here! Just add VodafoneTV as a Logitech Harmony device, using the following settings in the Harmony app:

Manufacturer name: Vodafone
Model number: Vodafone TV (or model names "NZ-80", "NZ-81", or "NZ-512". "NZ-80" and "NZ-81" are Gen1 boxes, "NZ-512" is the Gen2 box.)

I have been running with the Harmony Companion remote at home for a couple of weeks now to control my VodafoneTV, Sony TV, Bose sound system, and Philips Hue lights, and must say it works exceptionally well. It is really cool that the Harmony supports Alexa for Vodafone TV control ("Turn on TV", "Change to channel 1", "Volume up", etc), and can also control smart home devices like Philip Hue.

A couple of notes and tricks with the Harmony integration:

  • Short press on << and >> buttons on remote is fast rewind and fast forward respectively
  • Long press on << and >> buttons on remote is 20s skip back and skip forward
  • The Harmony remote's Guide button brings up the VodafoneTV guide directly. (Noting that this button is not there on the native VodafoneTV remote.)

For the Geekzoners that have Harmony remotes, let us know if you have any ideas or find any issues and we will work with Logitech to improve and resolve.

Fantastic news about Harmony integration. Will try it this weekend and provide feedback. I'm currently using mine in IR mode with buttons manually learned but the experience is less than ideal. Lots of lag and often have to press multiple times.

Great. Let me know how you get along! Just noting that integration is still with IR. If your VodafoneTV is hidden away, you are best off using the Harmony Companion or Elite.

First feedback.

Much better user experience. Would love to have it set up as Bluetooth but even with current IR from the official database it works so much better.

This will make the wife much happier.

  • The Harmony remote's Guide button will soon bring up the VodafoneTV guide. (Logitech is working on adding this functionality. Noting that this button is not there on the native VodafoneTV remote.)
  • There are one or two bugs in the key mappings of the Harmony mobile app for VodafoneTV. Logitech is working on fixing those. Coming soon. In the meantime, this is easy to resolve yourself by mapping to the correct command.

For the Geekzoners that have Harmony remotes, let us know if you have any ideas or find any issues and we will work with Logitech to improve and resolve.

Testing now with Harmony Companion. After 5 mins it seems not too bad. A little sluggish sometimes but i havent tried repositioning anything in the rack yet.

The guide button seems to be working already and brings up the EPG guide.

Yes, good news, Logitech has updated the configuration overnight, and the Guide button is now working. Also, two small Harmony mobile app issues have also been fixed, meaning that the set-up is now pretty much exactly how we intended. The only other thing we are investigating with Logitech is if we can support VodafoneTV control via Bluetooth. The integration right now is with IR.
