Sooooo, I downloaded fring (an app that has sip settings amongst other things) onto my iPod 2G so I could give voip a go over my ipod (the 2G has a mic) and the settings only ask for three things; username, password and proxy. I had a squiz over the "Asterix Basic Settings" thread and took a wild guess that as.wxcnz.net might be the proxy but it didn't work. (is there a port number that goes with that?)
Soooo, my question is, have any of you guys got any idea what the proxy might be and also, which username and password are we talking about exactly? My login one for vfx?
Any helpful thoughts?
I just thought it would be cool to use my ipod as an extra handset seeing as how it's practically glued to me whereas the phone definitly is not. :)
I realize I could set up another account with an online sip provider buuuuuut I don't want to.
Thanks for any thoughts. I'll give you guys a while to ruminate on that and if nothing pans out I'll cross post to the handheld devices part of the forum.
