Presumably cost. Is One using the VFX platform they got with the WxC purchase a few years back?

Two voice platforms.

WxC was turned into what is today One Business.

The other is still the same voip platform from yonks ago <- one Tim is referring to.

As to why? No idea. Wasn't around when that decision was made. Also not the owner of it. I just handle tickets and mainly focus on mobile.

I use quic. They're a great ISP for techies. Use my referral I get money off my bill! You can get the setup fee waived too via this code when you order! R177510EBNVXP

I agree with phone plugged into the ONT

I had a customer wanting to updgrade their Wi-Fi network with Netgear Orbi system which I have done but still need to plug in the One NZ modem the the Netgear router for their phone to work, personally the phone into the ONT is much eaiser but not with One NZ.

Only issues is speed, most speed test over GB is around 200 Mbps are wifi is around 600 Mbps thats the most up close but around the house is around 200 Mbps, weird why the GB LAN is slow

I've told them to move to Spark if they want better performance, my home I am with Spark 950 Mbps down and 550Mbps Up on cable and wifi is around 600 Mbps with phone plugeed into the ONT

You have some other issue going on there, One NZ and their router can easily route at 1Gbps

The voice running off the router and not the ONT is extremely inflexible however when you want to put your own equipment in though.

Plugged a laptop directly into both routers with a CAT6 cable and still slow speeds, could I factory reset the ONT? that's the only thing left to do, same speeds from the One NZ router and Orbi router 1Gbps ports

I had VoIP with Vodafone on ADSL. Was rubbish with dropped speech intermittently. Tried 2 different Vodafone supplied modems, hours on phone “resetting things”, no better.
Ported number to Hero and has been perfect for over a year. Have also now moved to a non Vodafone modem and speed has improved by 30%. All good, but wish we could get fibre down our street.
