My wireless bb bill went from $52 to $97 this month, couldn't believe it. Called one and said they removed my "permanent" discount as they don't do them anymore.

Looks like ill be moving to 2degrees.

@s.joseph Got to love those "permanent" discounts OneNZ are removing

My 'base' rate appears to have gone up $4.00 ... as my grandfather would say, it seems a little if you say it quickly 😂

I received the 'Upcoming changes to your account' email from OneNZ last week.

I'm currently looking into switching our 2 x OneNZ mobile plans away from OneNZ to the likes of maybe Kogan, or Warehouse Mobile $9 combo, with maybe a eSIM data pack from 3 network in HK as backup.

Have 2 x One NZ Unlimited plans, managed to score them for $65 base + $40 companion just under a year ago, for about 20-25gb usage per phone per month. Also have broadband with them for $10 discount.

Got a text today saying the $65 base is going to $85 in 3 days, and the email a week or so ago saying $10 discount being removed so effectively a $30 increase for same services.

Talked to a rep today (probably should've engaged with retention team), who said to wait till the billing has been done with the discounts removed so 'they' can look into what they can offer.

Um what?

That's why I switched to 2D. I'm currently paying $65 for the first 6 months at half price. After that, I'll get the Kiwi Heroes discount, and from early December, the plan will include 80GB of data.

Was the $10 per month discount related to the mobile bundle?

I’m curious how many people are switching to other providers now that the plans seem overpriced compared to what other telcos are offering.

Yea mate, was for mobile bundle. So they take that off, and dont seem to be competing (yet) with other telcos on pricing. I dont need the $200 worth of the one wallet $$$, just gimme relative pricing to what everyone is offering.
