My views (except when I am looking out their windows) are not those of my employer.
richms: I would still like to see the ability to have a second sim on a data plan so that one can ... get access to the data purchased on another connection. At the moment its a PITA taking the sim from a mobile to put into a data card for the laptop and putting it back again when done.
richms:I agree with richms. If there were a "twin" arrangement I might have kept my Vodem in operation and generated a bit more revenue for Vodafone, instead the inconvenience prompted me to purchase a Telecom Sierra 595U (which happens also to offer other coverage & speed benefits).PaulBrislen: @richms, can you not buy a prepay SIM, ... paulTopping up is a chore. I would rather just have it all come off the same balance ...
hairy1: I just called the provisioning team again and it is on my account but I have to wait for it to activate overnight (the exact words of the CSR) so for those of you launching into the data use (as I did today!) make sure it is definitely active on your account before launching!

richms: Can you not add this online? I have done the horrid setup process for the vodafone web site, but for some reason all the addons are greyed out when I go to the add adon's page - the account I have is on starter 600.
Firstly, why do vodafone not employ a usability professional to sort out the abortion of a website (why is it showing me unavailable options with no reason as to why they are unavailable) and secondly should I be able to add it online?
I have added access to myself online with the account pin and the password texted to me. Surely that should be enough since my business partner (who's name it is in) has not done anything to get onlune access to the account.

Easy there buddy. I got a stern talking to and had a thread closed last time I dissed the VF website. Little did everyone know, I worked on the VF website... so I was actually calling myself a monkey when I said "it was created by a room full of monkeys".
b...
bwa...
bwa....
bwahahahaha.
Has anyone else noticed when they log into the Vodafone website to check how much data they have left on this plan, it states "Free Anytime MBs"?
This got me thinking, why would they use the word "anytime" in the description?
We all know Vodafone will be launching more new data plans in the months to come, so maybe they might give us an "off peak" data option??
Interesting stuff.... ohhh yeah, dam i'm good.... still got it!!!

For people who use their mobile broadband in the weekends or evenings, it could only be good as the rate per mb will be cheaper. Why pay peak rates when you don't have to?
Of course this is all just speculation :)

well, depends.
If you have an allocation, whats the point? I can see where it could come in if you had to pay per mb, but with an allocation of what ever amount.. point = zero from what I see.
