This is all pretty good, and I'll be going in to close out my 200mb data plan (not on contract) asap, I'm not even going to try doing it over the phone because I can almost guarantee that Vodafone will close the wrong account, or similarly screw it up.

But the Vodafone data plans page really needs updating, it's so confusing looking for this new "Broadband Lite" plan, particularly as the "Mobile Broadband" pages show the cheapest as still the 200mb for 39.95 (29.95 on contract).

https://www.vodafone.co.nz/business/3g-mobile-broadband/
https://www.vodafone.co.nz/shop/plansMobileInternet.jsp?plantype=data&billingMethod=onAccount&menuKey=mnit600004
https://www.vodafone.co.nz/mobile-broadband/

I agree with others who have posted in this thread, the Vodafone website is such an abomination to navigate, so frustrating trying to find what you are looking for.

If you give them the MSISDN and SIM card number they can't go wrong over the phone

Which part of the motorway? I've found that Khyber pass to greenlane is generally gonna drop a call.

Well my mate drove from Auckland to Tauranga and had me on speaker for about 40 minutes. It stayed connected from the North Shore right through to Bombay with no drop outs.

Test was done going past Mt Wellington.

Hey Geekzone,

I switched from 200MB down to 100MB over the weekend - and now i've lost my data. iPhone 3G on YouChoose.

So, A couple of questions. First: Should this work with the standard iPhone APN like my 200MB dataplan did? It'd be nice if I didn't have to change it, although changing it isn't an issue.

And second: It still doesn't work even when I DO change my apn (I've tried www.vodafone.net.nz and internet - still nothing). So is this more likely to be a fault with the iPhone being stubborn or something didn't go right with my change at vodafone.

My assumption at this point is that it's a vodafone issue - because I can't see any other mention of iPhone users having issues on the boards... Anyone have broadband lite working on iPhone?

Sounds like it is a Vodafone issue.

I moved onto the new plan (i didnt have a previous data plan) the morning it was released.

I then used the APN www.vodafone.net.nz and my data began to work.

when you do a BAL to 777, does it return how many MB you have left for the month?
