I'm really disappointed you didn't use the loophole.  There's nothing dodgy about it, you sign a contract with known conditions and use those conditions to your best advantage.  Did you get to save the extra $100?

Raile: However she did mention that would have to sign an apple agreement (apparently a 36 page document!?), and there might be something in there that forbids this kind of activity. I dont think this will be an issue though.

So, did anyone had to read or sign a 36 page agreement?

I'm wondering if it's potentially the Apple T's & C's at the point of registering through iTunes?

Well the tiny window that the T&C's were in was probably 36 clicks on the scroll bar from top to bottom...

Haha yeah. The store manager said a 36 page document was an agreement with apple. I saw no agreements with apple. Maybe you have to sign some kind of agreement when you register it through itunes.

At the end of the day i decided it wasnt really worth all the hassle and risk for $40-$100. I couldnt get clear information from vodafone on what the rules really are. As Mikec241 pointed out, its advantaguous to vodafone to have ambigious terms. Which is sh*t for their potential and existing customers.

I had a quick flick through the vodafone terms and conditions. As far as i could see there was no clear numbers on contract cutting. So its still not clearly defined. Was 2am by that stage, and couldnt really be bothered going through it with a fine tooth comb though.

Mikec241 also pointed out that the $100 exculsive offer is for account credit, not a discount on the phone. This doesnt interest me as im not intending to stay with vodafone.

No, there was nothing like that - I read somewhere saying that you need to agree to something when you hook it up to iTunes.

There was another set of different Terms & Conditions we had to accept in a really small long paged as scrolly box which I copied into notepad for future reading though.
