Hi there,

I have just signed up for VF home phone wireless box, and 1GB mobile broadband. I did it at a Digital Mobile store, as there is no Vodafone store where I live.

My first question is, seen these are on account, whats the story with when my monthly billing cycle will be? Calender months like my old Telecom wired broadband, or anniversary of signup date like my old Telecom mobile broadband?

The next question is more of a concern. Initially I was just going to sign up for the home phone wireless, went into the store and completed the credit check form.

Then when I got home there was a mailer from First Mobile (We don't have one of those in the city I live). This mailer was offering both services, with all hardware free, and until end of the year, the bill is only $15 each month ($50 saving). It was too late to ring the store by this stage.

The next morning first thing I rung Vodafone, and asked if that promo was ONLY through First mobile, or if anyone of any brand who sells Vodafone could offer the same deal. They said yes, anyone can offer that, and that my local Digital mobile store could.

I called my local store back, and said hey just got a mailer after seeing you yesterday, explained it and said it must be a new deal as I haven't seen it before? They said no, that deals been running for months, to get free mobile broadband until end of year. They said I needed to go back to the store to sign another credit check application to get it.

Done that, now I have it all installed, really happy with it all, however on the day she said the mobile BB was free until end of year, but thats not the same deal as the $15 for both until end of year. I just feel that although I took in the brochure and showed them, from their terminology I really don't know if we were on the same page about the deal I was signing up for?

So will VF billing automatically sort this out, charging my $15/month as I signed up for both, or could this cause drama when I get my first bill?

Hi there,

Answering your first question, my VF bill comes on the anniversary of my signup date.

I'm afraid I can't help you with your other problem though, all I can suggest is keeping the first mobile mailer.
