Hi, is it possible on the E75 to not go via mobile data, like using the satilettes only or assisted with my own ADSL router?

In otherwords not to pay mobile data.

Yes you can have the phone in offline mode and still get GPS coverage.

You can also turn off AGPS (which is what uses network data to enable a faster fix)

As long as you have the maps you need loaded on the device you should be fine, although you'll find it takes a bit longer to get a fix.

In order to load the maps on you'll need to install Nokia Maploader to your PC and follow the instructions, then turn off A-GPS and you're golden (although your lock times will be much worse without A-GPS). Might be worth thinking about adding some data to your mobile plan?

Thanks I give that a go. I have unticked AGPS via the menu, it didn't work to get my position but I haven't loaded maps, thanks, I give that a go.

It will work - it just takes time. If you're in a different location to the last time you used GPS or in a poor coverage area you used the GPS it can easily take up to 5 minutes to get a lock.
