help ,, rec'd gift sony ericsson Z500a , it is tri-band 850 / 1800 / 1900 GSM came unlocked vodafone runs on 900,,,any way to up grade from 850 to 900

any help appreciated.... newbie (great site)

Welcome here... Sorry, but it's not possible to change the frequencies on phones. I take this one came from the US then?

It will work great in Auckland city and other high traffic places in NZ where 1800 GSM sites are located but no good anywhere else.

thank you for your replies,, they are lovely fones ,my partner used her one over in canada b4 coming back to nz and its a dream ,, so now we have 2 matching fones that only work in auckland city .. think i will try to sell they to someone going to usa ... again thank you.
