SNicolle: Got a 6680 at home with me now, its on the fringe of the 3g coverage in karori so I keep dropping back, albeit this post is via 3G

I have found even in strong coverage, mine drops back about a min into a video stream.

Might lug the laptop into town for a fiddle.. the screen is on the blink though and its hit and miss.

I think USB is my best modem option rather than bt or ir.. although if I find a way of retaining 3g reception bt will allow me to perch my phone. until then I am 'enjoying' gprs speeds of 44kbps

Nokia Pc suite is very simple to launch a connection with though..

Yes one of our guys is using a parallel imported Nokia 6680 and it can reach the Vlive.

Hi Guys,

Further to my posts about sreaming or lack there of on the 6680, i ventured out west today and WOW what a difference.

Once i was away from the AKL CBD i was watching "bro town", TV3 etc etc.
It was really really cool.

However as soon as i was back insight of the skytower, my phone was once again jumping backwards and forwards from GPRS - 3G (btw gprs really is no good for streaming!!!).

I sure hope Vodafone are working on this, as the product IS very cool however, it sure can be very frustrating when it doesn't work.

Well thats my 2c worth.

Not supprised.... 3G stuff thrashes the battery!!! maybe they should also include a car charger! watching TV at the lights eats the battery... so i am told.... :-)

Getting video calls while at the check out in " Pak and slave " can get some funny looks from the check out folks.
