Just recieved this from TCL

"As a special gift from TelstraClear, we've recently increased the data allowance and speeds of some of our InHome broadband plans. So, for no extra cost you can now enjoy more usage on our LightSpeed 40G plan (increased from 40G to 50G) and faster speeds on our HighSpeed 1G plan (increased from 2Mbps to 4Mbps) and 10G plan (increased from 4Mpbs to 10Mbps)."

Great - only a few months ago, I upgraded from the 10G to 20G and I'll get nothing.

Everyone missed out. This was the first upgrade in almost 4 years*, and it's very little. Such a slow rate of improvement is glacial in internet years.

*For the 10Mbps plans - the 4Mbps plans were of course upgraded from 2Mpbs at some point, though I don't remember when that was.

Got an email tonight with Telstra rubbing my nose in the fact that they gave those with 20G plans nothing... gee thanks Telstra!

So if it was the speed you were upgrading for why not go back down to the 10G or did you make the change for the extra 10G?

I've just downgraded to the 10G plan and the speed is as good as it was on the 20G

Having only upgraded from the 40gb plan to the 80gb plan not six weeks ago, this royally pisses me off.

As an aside - Those of you on the 80gb plan are now only $4.25 a month better off than you would be if you were on the 50Gb plan and were going over your cap by 30gb

So if your average use is under 76gb, I'd downgrade.
