I have recently purchased a Nokia n70 phone and all works well apart from pxt sending. It receives pxt fine, but when sending it makes a connection then times out. I am not sure what the correct settings should be?. I got the phone from parallel imported (auck) and have since called them. They tried one in the store and say it works fine, so i'm thinking i must just have a wrong setting?.

I have checked the other posts on setting up basic settings for access points but no luck i'm afraid.

Here is exactly what i have as my pxt access point, maybe someone can see what the problem is?

PXT SETTINGS>

Menu>Tools>Settings>Connection>Access Points>

Connection Name: VF PXT
Data Bearer: Packet Data
Access Point Name:live.vodafone.com
User Name: None
Prompt Password: No
Authentication: Normal
Homepage: http://pxt.vodafone.net.nz/pxtsend

**Advanced Settings**

Network Type: IPv4
Phone IP Address: Auto
Name Servers: Auto
Proxy Serv. Address: 172.30.38.3 or 172.030.038.003
Port Number: 8080

Also there are a few basic settings under message options but nothing i think that would affect sending pxt like image size etc. I send pxt up to 100kb anyway.

Anyway, a BIG thanks if you can solve that puzzle!. If not then i guess i will wait until vodafone stock them and see what i can do then.

Thats strange I have heard of other N70 users having no issue, This has yet to be seen with my own eyes. and I think PXT can now be up to 300k.

Good news - today when i tried sending a pxt, IT WORKED!. Looks like you were spot on Mahuhu - Something was fixed at the Vodafone end.

I had a couple of them fail but most of them sent no problem - even a pxt just under 300kb!.

I'm now a happy n70 camper.

No, i'm not using USB cable. I do upgrades for the latest Nokia phones (6630, 6680, 6681, N70, N90). Just a hobby though.
