I've noticed a serious drop in speed, usually get a rock solid 10Mpbs, now sitting between 2-4Mpbs. reset modem and it shoots back up to 10Mpbs. Wife is also noticing our VOIP line on 2Talk is rubbish and is threating she wants a dedicated line back.

Down south west chch.

"have you rung TC"

what would be the point in that other than to waste my time on hold and trying to explain what a cable network is to the support "technician"

JC1600:
also - if we switch back to say Telecom ADSL and phone line (currently with telstra) will a tech be requried to come do some rewiring and a fee applied?

I know I'd have to ...  no idea where the TNZ wiring even is in this place.

Nope international traffic is still fine for me, I can get into my servers in both Perth and Los Angeles and web traffic seems fine (I can access abc.go.com for example). I have no idea how their network is routed but you'll probably only be 1-2km away from me if you're in Mairehau, I'm just north of North Avon Rd.
