vulcannz:

We have an office of mixed telecom and vodafone numbers, all the vodafone numbers were hit in a very short period which is unusual for phisers/spammers. Telecom numbers have not been touched.

I do notice that when some companies request numbers from telco's, they can be given a block of sequential numbers  (if available in the pool obviously) - ie: xxxxxx1, xxxxxx2, xxxxxx3

Do your V/fone numbers have very similar/sequential numbers ?

If so, then Id say a spammer just happened to be trying that range......

Its how war-diallers worked back in the day.

Downside, or upside depending who you ask, to a connected world, is that no matter how hard you try, more of your details will become public.

Exactly.

Have a friend who said Id never find anything to do with her online.

Within 2 minutes I had pulled up all her schools, some courses she had been on, every company she had worked for amongst other random info.

To be honest, if its a one off occurance, dont worry about it. If it keeps happening, then lay a complaint.
