wekanz:Stepdoh: Looking at my current options for when I move to wellington, and Telstra's seems a pretty good offer. Financially at least. Is the Freeview T-Box as much of a heap as it sounds in this forum? What I used to like about cable was that it was pretty robust compared to other options (partic DVB-T and satellite).
Each to his own, I guess, but when weighing it all up, I would choose TC despite the T-box problems. Their services are great when it comes to Internet (cable) and landline, and I feel that the T-box problems have settled down quite a bit, and on the whole, it's not a very bad service now. Which is not to say it is perfect all the time. If they can get the stuttering taken care of, and the odd crash once in a while, it will be sorted from my point of view. Much improved since the last update, and the problems feel more like niggles than majors to me. Please note, I have all three services, and get a discount for that, so the cost advantage comes into it for me too.
I agree with you wekanz, the quality of TC products, ie, Internet (Cable) and landline is really very good. The TV or T-Box works really well too, when it goes through smooth moments. As mentioned there are minor niggles which is whats frustrating most of us at this stage.
I still recommend TC despite T-Box issues. I just hope that they sort it!
