GIS Specialist

As our next GIS Technical Specialist you will be responsible for designing and developing key tools leveraging our Smallworld GIS. You will be one of our subject matter experts enabling accurate inventory, reporting and spatial analysis of TelstraClear's network infrastructure across our business through the Smallworld GIS environment.

You thrive on proactively designing and developing tools and systems to support workflow.

Providing expert guidance for the architectural direction of the Smallworld GIS environment is what makes you tick. You also enjoy providing support for internal users of GIS systems and applications.

Your attention to detail is second to none, as are your communication skills. A high level of computer literacy is essential as is an understanding of telecommunications fundamentals, architectural components, and network terminology.

If you are our next GIS Technical Specialist you will have:

 

  • At least five years experience developing in Smallworld GIS environments for a telecommunications or similar environment

  • A deep understanding of GE Smallworld architecture and applications

  • Proven Magik programming competency; ideally including SIAS/FLEX experience

  • A tertiary or equivalent professional certification in Smallworld GIS is desirable.


 
You will be extremely motivated, passionate and driven to succeed. You thrive on always up-skilling and are able to rapidly learn new complex systems.
