Ive recently upgraded my usage plan and according to telstra clear i was on an old slow package for my broadband. I thought i was on high speed all the time with the PDQ service i have been on for the last few years. So now im on a 25gb plan as of a few days ago but my speed is still rubbish.
Download speed is 0.27mb/s and upload is 0.12 mb/s.
I read another post on here recently where someone stated that those exact speeds were restricted speeds on the launch plans they put in place?
If this is the case why havent they changed this when I was always under the impression it was fastest available speed. I dont believe there is any faults with my connection seeing that i have exactly the same speed as others that have also complained of slow broadband from this provider.
I get so frustrated with the websites they provide for customers with no information to let the consumer know what they should be expecting with the services they are paying for.
What speeds should i be able to get with a good working broadband service from Telstra clear?
I have attached details from my router that people more expert than me can interogate!!

It will either be an issue with your home network (ie your modem or PC) or TCL's network. Judging by those sync speeds and noise margin you are on TCL's ULL gear rather than a wholesale connection.

The issue almost probably nothing to do with your line or home wiring, the only exception to this could be if the higher noise margin that TCL operate is infact causing errors, something that's not possible to see in the stats posted above.

Also, you should try using this speedtest http://www.telstraclear.co.nz/customer-zone/speedtest, as the download speed from other servers is not really a good
indication (the other server may be limited, overloaded, etc).

Thanks for the reply's I tried several speed tests including Telstra clears one and got the same results. I tried TCL one again tonite and it was even slower with download dropping to 0.17mb/s.
I think i will give them a call tomorrow and see what can be done. I still dont know what speed i really should be seeing. My daughter has a friend up the road from us and she says they watch youtube clips instantly but the same ones here take many minutes to load.
My pc is directly on an RTA 1320  (my third one) via a netcom switch /hub and we have home plug adapters (via house wiring) which are rated at 85mb/s as the hme network to other pc's. The modem is on a short line via a home phone network box thats directly fed by the outside phone lines which were all new last year when the street was upgraded to underground services, so im pretty confident the problem lies with the connection to TCL.

As the line stats are fine I would call Telstraclear looks like something has gone wrong is changing over your account/line at their end imo.
