Wow I have just realized I am paying $30 a month for 200MB Internet on my phone. If only my account manager would call me back!

networkn: So has the replacement plan been announced? I am on a TalkZone Zero Plan, and 200MB of data isn't getting me there.

Not yet, and according to johnr its not a new plan, its a new permanent promotion. Keep checking the vodafone nz forums or wait for a thread to popup here about it.

Just got home and cleared the junk mail and note with interest that the latest bond & bond mailer makes reference to "New Smart Plans"

*Even more anytime minutes
*2500 texts to any NZ mobile
*Heaps of Data
*Free Calls to your voicemail
*Choose between 1, 12 & 24mth plans

There are a couple of phone deals offering an additional 1gb of data for the first 6mths, SMART$85 and SMART$150 plan names...

I wonder when it will be formally announced?

Seems more balanced but as a data imbalanced user the old promo plans look better from where I stand.

I suspect those that have secured double mins and 3gb/mth data for life of plan will not be missing out any...

It could just be B&B's wording but you could read into the wording of "an extra 1gb of data per month free for 6 months" as meaning standard data offering will be 1gb/mth.

Also looks like no more 24mth term lock in's either

I'm picking more minutes, but not a lot more data than present offerings (they're really only going to re-jig things to look more on-par with Telecom and 2deg)
But reducing the contract terms to 12 or 1mth is good, but there must be a tradeoff for that... loss of handset subsidy is my guess.

And I could live with that

New plan is promising if voda made 1gig the standard instead of advertising as a bonus. Still I'm happy I signed up
with the 3gig plan.

new plans are up on VF website....

200 minutes, 2500 TXTs, 250MB + 1GB bonus data for $65/mth....

Its a win/loose compared to my $61.30 120 minutes, 2500 TXTs, 3GB data, I'm happy to be biased toward data rather than minutes

I just checked and it appears that my socks are not only still on, but seem to be preoccupied, and utterly indifferent to these "exciting new offers."

Just thought I'd let you know.

If you are prepared to sign on for a 12mth term you recieve $5/mth & $10/mth plan subsidy so that makes it $40/mth & $55/mth respectively

The new plans are a win as far as included minutes but after the 6mth promo the 250mb data limit might start to hurt a few

New plans are a fail really. A step backwards.

It's all about the data these days.

This cannot be the new plan Johnr was hinting at---doesn't sound very good to me.

That's for the first 6 months isn't it? According to posters above.
