As said... If you are going to pay $30 ($1 a day) during the month to get 300MB why not get onto a plan or get 2degrees and 1GB for the same price?

If you are not happy with one provider, move on. There are plenty of choices.

Could prices be lower? Yes. Are there options? Yes.

What if I want to use 30MB a day - for only 6 days of the year?

If you are not happy with one provider, move on. There are plenty of choices.

To meet the above casual requirement I am not so sure....  Convince me.

Could prices be lower? Yes.

Agreed

Are there options? Yes.

Really?  As above, convince us, I don't believe there are any fairer options for the above.

Using the above scenario it reveals at current casual Data rates 30MB on Vodafone will cost $21.00 and on 2 degrees will cost $15.00 a saving of just over 25%

Kewl thanks, I believe you are correct - in areas where 2degrees has satisfactory speed...

This is why I advocate to anyone that'll listen that Geekzone should be renamed "Morons bleeting about mobile phone prices zone"

Did the TradeMe forums crash or something?

Being serious for a second, my point is that a forum like this is good for discussing things you can learn/can change/can have some affect on.

The rule for pricing anything is "You know you've found the right price point when people will complain about it but keep paying for it".
