Hi all,

I’ve just logged into viewbill and have noticed that it appears that I have used 1.66GB of peak data today and no off peak data. I probably have used about this amount (not really sure of the exact amount), however, this was kicked off by me manually this morning about 7:30, and, was definitely complete by 8am.  Has anyone else noticed a similar issue?

I note that there was recently an issue with data accounting that has been resolved that may be related?

Thanks all,

I have logged in to viewbill again and the graph has changed from this morning.
This morning, at approximately 11:20AM, it was showing as 1.66GB Standard. Now, it is showing as 0.21 Standard with 1.53GB off Peak, which looks to be correct.

The values in the table below the graph does not appear to be correct (adding up the graph values, the sum of chargable traffic this month is about 1.42GB, but, the table shows it as 2.96GB), perhaps this will change latter too?

Will send a PM with my details.

The selected standard usage in the top table is for the day only. The standard data listed in the second table is the monthly amount.

Yeah, I know that. This morning there was 2 large orange lines, and todays line was one large blue one. Now, the large blue line that was there this morning has been replaced by a small blue line and a large orange one :-)

What I was saying is that the data in the table (2.96GB) standard usage that translates to 2.96 billable usage does not seem to be correct (too high), and, does not refelect the graph. It seems to reflect the usage that was there this morning.

If you add the values given by the blue lines in the graph, you will get approximatly 1.42GB, which, is what I would expect my billable usage to be instead of 2.96GB that it is showing. The difference between the 2.96GB shown and the 1.4GB expected is, about 1.54GB, which, is pretty much the data that was used this morning in the off peak time.

Doesn't matter, it seems to have sorted itself out, see my latest viewbill below.

It looks like a few bugs occurred this month, probably related to the changes happening. I have suddenly received a paper invoice instead of an e-mail despite having the correct setting on my account (as it's been for years). But as always the help desk quickly helped.

I really like/liked how Xnet split data in to local from servers in their network which is un-metered, standard and off peak.

A pity they grandfathered that plan and don't currently offer a plan with free off peak any more for new signup's or people switching.

Yeah, it's a great plan. I just managed to get on to it when they retired it in October last year. From this thread, there was some mention of a new plan coming that was supposed to be better, but, I haven't seen it.

Hmm, I think I may be having the same issue (at least this morning):

XNet Usage Meter Log:
Date           Time        Torrent DL  Accountable
13/08/2011  1:55:24    36042.37     9976.3
13/08/2011  10:22:33  36042.37     12789.45

According to XNet, I downloaded nearly 3GB on peak this morning between 8am & 10:22am and not a single MB off peak this morning; which is rubbish.  The amount my accountable traffic has increased matches perfectly with the off peak traffic totals I am expecting and which my local bandwidth counter is showing between 2-8am, so it's definitely mis-categorising off peak as accountable.  I suspect this may have been happening for the last few days and possible to a lesser extent earlier in the month, but I don't have as much solid proof as for today.
