dets00b: I think it has something to do with being on UBA, maybe you were on UBS before you switched. I remember reading another thread a while ago where finally the guy got his provider to switch him back to UBS and he started getting the speeds his modem was actually syncing with :S

Are you sure you're not getting this story around thee wrong way?
UBA, and the newer EUBA plans offer significant advantages over old UBS plans. I'm not sure if TCL would even have people on UBS still.
Anybody who wants the best performance from their ISP should be looking for an ISP offering EUBA, as this also (at present) has no end user dimensioning.
tritex: From what i've read on a few websites today isn't low Attenuation supposed to be a good thing on a broadband connection? Telstra Clear have told me: "Something else that is puzzling on your connection is the fact that you have a very low attenuation which may lead to communication problems which then translate to slow speeds on occasion."
