how good is it?

No,  because it doesn't work on Vodafone or Telecom and is unlikely to ever do so.

It doesn't look like it's available for Vodafone at this stage; it says "register your future interest". I haven't tried one myself; I get marginal coverage at home (behind a hill) but it's not bad enough that I'd spend more than $1000 on it!

frustration levels in the household with terrible mobile reception might be enough to fork out $500 and all change to 2 degrees!!
