Sounds like their customer service team are pretty clueless on what the OP is trying to do. One for Jason maybe?

halper86: Just went online chat for the 3rd time, struck it lucky and the agent knew what i was talking about. He said that i would have to talk to the sales team as it would be up to their discretion but i am happy with that. Thank you for your help @linux

@halper86 It's not up to the sales team at all, If a customer requests a MSISDN swap (Not SIM swap) then it's done with 3 - 5 clicks and you as the customer requested it

Should I try chat again or just wait until whenever they call me?

@halper86:Call 777 and make it clear you don't need a SIM swap just a number SWAP (MSISDN)

Before you call pick a number that starts with one of the below and they should be able to find a number quite easily

0213xxxxx

0214xxxxx

0215xxxxx

0216xxxxx

0217xxxxx

0218xxxxx

0219xxxxx

That's assuming their software stack hasn't gotten more complex or changed since you left ;)

After a quick Google it currently looks like only skinny will let you choose your own number (with their prefix and $5 fee), are they the only carrier that offer this at the moment?
