Sounds like their customer service team are pretty clueless on what the OP is trying to do. One for Jason maybe?
Linux:halper86: Just went online chat for the 3rd time, struck it lucky and the agent knew what i was talking about. He said that i would have to talk to the sales team as it would be up to their discretion but i am happy with that. Thank you for your help @linux@halper86 It's not up to the sales team at all, If a customer requests a MSISDN swap (Not SIM swap) then it's done with 3 - 5 clicks and you as the customer requested it

@halper86:Call 777 and make it clear you don't need a SIM swap just a number SWAP (MSISDN)
Before you call pick a number that starts with one of the below and they should be able to find a number quite easily
0213xxxxx
0214xxxxx
0215xxxxx
0216xxxxx

7 working days!! What are they doing?
It's a couple clicks submit Order and wait 1 minute turn phone off and back on
MSISDN swap order from Siebel -> ASAP -> CSDB update (MSISDN swap done)

That's assuming their software stack hasn't gotten more complex or changed since you left ;)
