As a final confirmaton for the record, after switching from Spark VDSL to Spark UFB, 2talk VOIP now works. Same modem, same Spark account, same 2talk account, same device settings.

So no UFB available where I am. Did anyone manage to figure out a workaround for the SPARK HG659b VoIP over VDSL?

I gave up I'm afraid. Borrowed a FritzBox until UFB was available.

So can you confirm the FritzBox worked on VDSL with VOIP?

I've been having an impossible time trying to configure our 2talk phones to work after a move and new connection - ADSL with 2degrees - No problem, UFB with 2degrees - No problem.

VDSL with Spark - GRRRRRRR!!!!

If its just a case of grabbing a FritzBox I'll do that.

Thanks, Dan

Just get an ATA....

Cisco SPA112, Yeastar TA100 (or TA200), Grandstream whatever.... They will all do a better job than the router.

Yes, I can confirm that a Fritz 7390 worked fine with 2talk and Spark VDSL.

Thank you.
I may take our 7390 from home (running on fibre) and swap it over with the HG659b.
Or I may just buy another 7390 lol - at the risk of upsetting the wife & kids it may be the safest option.
Best, Dan

For those interested, I have it working on the HG659b.

Turns out it was a TCP setting in the phone setup - defaulted to UDP on the SIP Transport.

Message waiting light also to off, now all lines appear and I have voicemail on each one, flags a message and indicator when theres a VM and all lines ring as they should.

Beer for me tonight!cool

Best,

Dan

So you're saying you got 2talk VOIP working on Spark VDSL with a 659b? Congrats - where were you when I started this topic?!?! :)

You need to change the transport setting from UDP to TCP.

Thanx for that  info.  I guess this worked OK before you got the new router??

Yes - I had a TG589 and UDP wasn't an issue.
