I have just launched a new blog, myAsterisk.co.nz, specialising in Asterisk, and Asterisk-related software, Linux distributions, and general VoIP stuff.

I get a lot of people asking me about my Asterisk/Trixbox adventures, and I just wanted to get it all in one place really, so its easier for me to find the info for myself, and for others.

I will still be running my Geekzone blog for anything non-VoIP related.

Please feel free to visit my sites, and I look forward to any feedback.

Excellent work Tony. Your always a great source for good Asterisk advice and this site will make it even easier.

PS: I thought sipserve.co.nz had closed up shop (regarding the 1800 access). Are you still able to use them? I have been using the Gizmo project for those calls.

Cheers Mike

Ok fair enough Tony. This is my Outbound Route for 1800 - Alt

001777.
001800.
001866.
001867.
001877.

Trunk = SIP/Gizmo

PS I always dial the 00 in front of all international calls even to 1800 numbers. All the above are routed through GIZMO and they seem to work fine for me (at last time I checked).

Oh, do you host the blog on an external server or do you use a standard Wordpress account and host on their site?

Cheers Mike
