Hi, I have a Cisco SPA112 ATA connected to a Netgear R7000 router which in turn is connected to a Vodafone Cisco cable modem.

I was trying to set up VLANs across these devices as 2talk VoIP calls were dropping whenever anyone else used the internet for downloading browsing etc.

During this process I set the Enable VLAN parameter in the SPA112 Network setup to On. This stopped the SPA112 from being recognised by the R7000 router and also now I can't access the SPA112 to change the config and disable VLAN. I have the IP address of the SPA112, but browser won't connect. Also there doesn't appear to be an IVR command to reset this parameter via the phone handset.

Any thoughts on how I go about this - I don't want to factory reset as don't have config backup which has taken me months to get right.

Plug computer into ATA directly, and set VLAN on your network card?

If the router has DD-WRT you can tag the port on the router it's plugged into as VLAN whatever it is and use that to connect to it, otherwise, your options are factory reset or plug it directly into a PC with a VLAN set on the NIC.

You have three options - find a router that's VLAN capable and tag the VLAN and enable DHCP (assuming the SPA112 does not have a static IP), tag the VLAN on a PC if the SPA112 had a static IP using another static IP on the same subnet on the PC, or do a full factory reset from a phone plugged in.

Horribly ignorant questions, but I am getting bigpipe ufb installed (guys are working on it now as I type this).
Bigpipe don't do vlan tagging.
I have requested a static iP address.
Was looking at moving the old land line number to 2talk.
Had considered getting a cisco spa112.

I don't actually 'need' vlan tagging do I?

No. OP pressed the wrong button.

(And Bigpipe will do VLAN tagging if you ask them nicely.)

Thanks darkshadow. I didn't think that I required it -thanks for clarifying.
