Can you someone please explain if and how this is possible...

Basically want to move from 2 VFX lines on a Cisco UC320w to a cloud PBX solution for redundancy and portability.

Looking at a CRM product integrated into Outlook and would like incoming calls to popup the CRM client contact. Pretty sure this is possible but would like to get my head around how it works,

E.g Call comes in, client contact pops up then

  1. answer/reject call on softphone?
  2. answer/reject call on desk phone?

Does this have to be a feature of the CloudPBX and does the softphone need to be specifically integrated to the Cloud PBX?

Is the softphone simply configured with the same account as the desk phone and if one is answered or rejected does the other simply stop ringing?

Anyone have this working with 2Talk CloudPBX or have any other recommendations to achieve the above?

Basically you need a CRM app for the PBX solution you're looking at OR a softphone with CRM integration.

Bria has 3rd party CRM and integration. I wouldn't imagine you'd find any apps that talk to 2talk directly - these are all specific to the PBX platform.

I think you need to use the 2talk One Number feature (where the desk phone logs in as 033550111, softphone logs in as 033550111-1 etc) - and yes if one rejects or answers the call the others stop ringing

if you have a crm product running on your local network then a soft client - such as bria or zoiper would work fine with 2talks one number feature.

if you have a crm product in a cloud somewhere then there is a little more to getting this to work.

depending on your budget you may consider a hosted 3CX or similar PBX that has the CRM integration and the soft client as part of the solution.
