Is it possible to purchase a bluetooth USB dongle and use a Bluethooth headset (the ones that are used with mobile phones) with Skype? That way there are no wires, and you cud move around freely.... it wud be great!! Would this work?

Yes, it works, providing the Bluetooth software that comes with the adapter supports the headset profile (which is true for most Widcomm and Bluesoleil software currently in the market with devices).

Do not use the native Microsoft Bluetooth software (Windows XP SP2) because this does not support the headset profile.

also, unless you buy a dongle with support for A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) don't bother buying stereo Bluetooth headsets. Currently only Bluesoleil based software supports Bluetooth stereo.

I do this, with a DSE dongle and a Nokia HS11W Headset. Works really well.

So how does one tell if the bluetooth headset is not stero? What would it be if it wasnt stero? Can you provide links to prehaps the DSE website?

AFAIK DSE does not have any stereo headphone, all of them are mono. Stereo headphones will have, well, two speakers and clearly labeled that it supports A2DP. We have a couple of Stereo Bluetooth headphones reviews here:

Also, even though they are stereo, they work just as well with mono audio - just more expensive for something you will not use 100%.
