In 2talks defense it was suppose to be a user forum and not
official support.
I have to admit I did not know IAX2 was still in beta, I only use it because of the problem with sip on Asterisk when the internet goes down you lose all your sip extensions as well making any PSTN failover useless.

Only if you have your box configured poorly. This bug isn't hard to work around.

I have tried this particular fix and it did not work, whether I screwed something up I don't know, perhaps I'll give it another go, the thing that I have found that works the best is disable the sip trunks but that is not always the best solution if your not there.
