nickb800: I tried to call my mobile (027 number ported to 2d) from GVoice in-browser - it rung for 25 seconds before my phone even started ringing! But im sure/hope they will up their game soon.
The google voice android app wouldnt work for me - got stuck on the 'verifying your phone number' stage

Linuxluver: You can only get a Google Voice account activated if they can verify a genuine US phone number as your alternate number. There are a few people who have been able to do that via family and friends.
