Does anybody have experience of using Ext2IFS on W7?

I have ripped apart an old Maxstor ShareStorage 1TB unit as it wouldn't boot and installed the drive (which is a single Barracuda ES2 SATA drive) in my Win7 machine.

Ext2IFS sees 5 partitions on it as follows

Ext2 251MB
Linux 251MB
Linux Swap 251MB
Linux 494MB
Linux 930GB

If I assign drive letters to all the partitions the only one that I can see the directories and files on is the Ext2 partition. If I try and access any of the others I get a 'need to format' message.

I guess all my files are in the last one as it's 930GB.

I was using the drive without RAID and configured Ext2IFS to use UTF8 and large files.

Any ideas on how I might retrieve the files or on configuring Ext2IFS?

Maybe use a Linux based live CD for the best file system support, e.g. SystemRescueCD

Turns out that the Maxstore used an Ext3 file system and the disc was stopped with transactions left in the journal. Ext2IFS can't mount Ext3 partitions that are in this state.

I should be able to access the disc if I mount it on Linux and cleanly dismount it. We shall see.
