Today is two years since I last rebooted the Windows box where I ran the hypervisor for our Geekzone servers:

What's the longest you ran your Windows box?

Yes... I only apply the monthly patching in the boxes that are visible from the Internet - the "tin" does nothing but to run the VMs, firewall on network and on machine blocks any incoming connections and there's nothing to be done on the box itself so no one actually accesses it.

Hanging there for a hardware swap that is in the works.

Not long enough.
I always seem to need to reboot my laptops once every 2 or 3 weeks.

Had some Windows servers at a site that got to between 1090 and 1200 days uptime, before we replaced them. They were in an environment where patches, updates etc was not deemed beneficial, so they were never taken down for it with other stuff *shrug*

I had a windows 2003 box running for about 4 years. I know its no where near a record, but I am quite proud of that.
It was a site where we had a couple of 120ah deep cycle sealed AGM batteries wired up to the 1500va UPS so it would take about a 16 hour power cut to run them down.

The machine was shut down in the end when I decided the hard drive bearings were getting a bit loud.

Now its a qnap NAS box.

Never very long, I always managed to catch them before they reached the gates.

Have a telephony server that is at 1997 days and counting. I am going to let it get to 2000 then turn it off because it does not do anything any more.
