Dear Geekzoners,

If any one of you happens to have a Samsung NP540U3C A01UB (or similar Series 5) Ultrabook, pretty please could I get a dump of your Recovery (factory restore) partition?
(Pressing F4 at boot time boots the Recovery, and from there you can copy its content to a USB flash drive as bootable ISO file apparently -- this is probably worth you doing for your own machine's future recover-abiilty too).

The reason being that the HDD had a head crash (click click click, beeeuw) and can't boot it at all or access any data.  Samsung support gave me the runaround, and the result finally is that their service agent in Penrose wants to charge $90+GST minimum assessment/labour fee to give me the Recovery partition data onto the new HDD that I've already installed, so that I can then press F4 and factory restore to the main partition on this new HDD. :-(

Karma credits your way if I can get this .iso from you instead! :-))
Thanks in advance!

How old is it? If it's less that two years old you could have a CGA claim on the hard drive and that should come free. They should last longer than that.
