Hi i have a Microsoft Surface tablet (1) and like to play online games but a lot of sites require running Java which i tried to install on the tablet but to no avail.
Is there any way around this problem?
Cheers
Duncan

also the java website says this

Windows Surface RT: Surface tablets using the Windows RT operating system do not support the Java plug-in. Java being a desktop program cannot be installed as it is not available in the Windows Store.

Looks like it may be possible to some degree using the library http://www.ikvm.net/. Many people use it on RT but I'm sure it's technical.

Also I know very little about RT and I'm unsure if a jailbreak is required to install third party outside the store.

Maybe others can comment/guide on those two things if you want to take it further.

Edit: Maybe that won't work if a browser plugin is required. Don't know sorry.
